with others.
The purpose of our productions is celebrating growth,
building confidence,
and creating unforgettable memories,
for the audience, our dancers and their families!
Story-Based Performances
Our performances are rooted in storytelling. Each year, we build our shows around a central narrative or a collection of stories that give dancers the chance to connect emotionally with their movement and bring characters or a message to life on stage. It’s not just about technique — it’s about expression, creativity, and connection. Every dancer, no matter their level, contributes to telling the story.
What to Expect:
- When: NOVA Academy has two productions a year, one in fall and one in spring. The fall show is always the Friday evening before Thanksgiving week. The spring show is always the last Friday in May.
- Volunteer opportunities: Parents often join us behind the scenes — it’s a great way to bond with your dancer and be part of the backstage fun.
- Preparation: We provide a performance packet with all the information needed including: costume care, detailed guidelines for hair, makeup, and attire, checklists for what to bring to the theater, and rehearsal schedules with specific time slots for each class and age group.
See the PDF below for basic information, Performance Packets will be sent out closer to each production date.
- Theater: We are blessed to use the Beach Church Auditorium for our Fall and Spring Productions. It it not only conveniently located across the street from NOVA, but is the ideal stage setting for our storytelling productions!
